Handmade Cotton Face Cloth Pattern: A Perfect Project for Crafters

A stack of crocheted face cloths in Morris & Sons Avalon 8ply cotton yarn

Handmade cotton face cloths are a great project for any crafter to have on the go. Their repetitive pattern makes them perfect for beginners, providing a completed project rather than just test squares. These face cloths are not only compact and travel-friendly but also serve as exceptional gifts. Face cloths are an exceptional way to test out a new stitch in either knitting or crochet.

Morris and Sons have featured our basic step by step knit and crochet face cloth pattern below using Avalon 8ply. Just two balls of the Avalon 8ply yarn will make three face cloths. We also recommend trying these cloths in the 10ply ombre cotton yarn, Sugar’n Cream. With this ply yarn, simply increase the needle size to 5mm and hook size to 4.5mm for a larger and chunkier wash cloth.

Whether you're a beginner or experienced crafter, handmade cotton face cloths are a quick and easy project, perfect for gifts!
